The Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers Water Ski Show Team goes “Back to there Roots” to entertain the whole family! Watch as the team performs arial acts from the 6′ high water ski jump, along with twists and turns on their bare feet. The girls will dazzle you with dancing both off and on the water. Their swivel skis allow them to turn all the way around and how about that wakeboard. The costumes are sparkly, just like their smiles. Something for the whole family and the best part is its all FREE!

The town of Grant Sesquicentennial Celebration is full of fun for everyone!

Friday is a Celebration of Education with a meal and social for former students of the area’s one room school houses at 3 pm at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Later that evening everyone is invited to attend a dance at the Wild Horse Saloon.

Saturday is a CELEBRATE LIFE AND WORK! Historical items will be displayed inside the town hall (9011 Highway WW) and the adjacent field from 9 am-3 pm. A craft sale and flea market will also be held from 9 am-3 pm in the field across the road from the town hall. You will find many things to do in the downtown Kellner area. A farmer’s market will take place from 8:00 am-noon. Activities for the kids will take place throughout the day and on Sunday. Bingo will take place on Saturday from 1-6 pm and a Baggo tournament from 1-5:30 pm. LIVE music starts at 1 pm on Saturday and continues throughout the evening. More music takes place on Sunday with a live band downtown and a “Singsiration” at the Kellner Moravian Church at 1:30 pm. A CELEBRATION OF FOOD AND FUN takes place on both Saturday and Sunday. Food is available downtown Kellner. A bake sale will take place at St. John Lutheran Church on Saturday from 8-10 am. A Bake-Off Contest will take place at the Kellner Moravian Church with judging at 2:15 pm. The fun will include a PARADE through downtown Kellner on Sunday starting at noon.

Dance to oldies with some good modern tunes thrown in. There is a greeter who introduces new people to those already seated. Many enjoy dancing free style while others enjoy ballroom dancing they learned at dance lessons sponsored by CWN. There are three slow dance mixers, some simple line dances and fun dances like “The YMCA”.

The age of our group is 50 plus. If you are a little younger and enjoy dancing, please join us. Men wear casual dress pants or very good jeans, and nice shirts (no T-shirts please); women wear slacks, skirts, good jeans or dresses. Dances are held twice a month. Music to be provided by CWN’s own DJ. Admission is $8.00 for members and $12 for non-members.

The first ever Walk MS: Stevens Point will be held on Sunday, September 14 at the UW-Stevens Point campus. More than 250 walkers are expected to come out and help raise the goal of $15,000. Funds raised will support direct services for the more than 11,000 children, women and men in Wisconsin diagnosed with MS and their families, as well as MS research to find a cure for this chronic disease of the central nervous system. People can participate in Walk MS individually or as a team.Volunteers are also needed.

72 people – 6 four tier pyramids side by side all pulled behind a single boat. The boat will be a Dynaski triple rig powered by 3 – 300 hp Evinrude engines. Showskiers from several Midwest showski teams will come together for this world record attempt.
We will be pursuing both the National Show Ski Association national record and will be doing the pull in accordance with Guinness requirements for the World record.
