Shermalot Water-Ski Show Team

The Shermalot Water-Ski Show Teams story began in the summer of 1975 when a group of die-hard water skiers banded together to share their love of the sport. Throughout the years, the Shermalot family has grown.There focus on healthy, family-oriented activities has built many lifelong friendships, marriages and entire families that share a bond beyond the sandy beaches and sunshine of the Town of Rome. They have been performing shows twice a week on Lake Arrowhead since 1982. Memorial Day through Labor Day feel the roar of the mighty ski-boats, see daredevil jumpers and precision acrobatics at the Shermalot Water-Ski Show Team show on Saturday 6:30 pm at the Lake Arrowhead Dam. Additional shows on Wednesday during the month of July.

Want to SUP the Rapids? SUP stands for stand-up paddleboarding which is similar to surfing, however a SUP is wider and longer thus more stable. Anyone who can swim can SUP! Come join us for a paddle on the Wisconsin River or your favorite lake. Wander peacefully, explore the Wisconsin Rapids Area from a different perspective, and get a great workout!

The Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers Waterski Show Team was formed in 1959 as an offshoot of the Central Wisconsin Boater’s Club.  In 1967, Jack Lukes had the foresight to start the Wisconsin State Waterski Show Tournament, which the Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers have hosted ever since on the Red Sands beach of sunny Lake Wazeecha. The Wisconsin State Waterski Show Tournament is the largest in the world! The Wisconsin Rapids Aqua Skiers Waterski Show Team is an all-volunteer, non-profit, family oriented organization. Whose goal is to develop the talents of there members, to produce and perform the highest caliber water ski shows available anywhere. June through August on Sunday evenings you can experience beauty, grace, thrills and raw power as we they perform one amazing act after another.  This years theme is “There’s an App for that…in 3D” and the skiers are ready to perform for you!
